As a note, pre-pandemic this has been as low as $65. I own a set, now destroyed by the dog, from that promo. I've enjoyed enough to get another.

Those ratings are not looking great.

If you're looking for wireless gaming headphones, it looks great for the price. Even the more expensive and popular Arctis 7 is just a bit higher on rting.

I don't have the G533, so I can't attest to its microphone quality. However, I have an Arctis 3 with Bluetooth (can be used wirelessly with Bluetooth compatible devices as well as wired with 3.5mm connections). I specifically opted for it after reading many reviews on rtings and particularly took note of the microphone quality. I've also been "complimented" on the clarity of my voice on Discord a couple times.

You can read my thoughts on the Arctis 3 with Bluetooth here: https://slickdeals.net/f/14188829-steelseries-arctis-3-bluetooth-wired-gaming-headset-black-61-99-free-shipping?p=138715157#post138715157

That said, I was also heavily eyeing the G533. I don't think it was in stock anywhere when I sprung for the Arctis 3.

Almost all surround sound headphones meant for gaming are virtual, as opposed to true surround. You might think this is a bad thing, but Linus Tech Tips performed an experiment comparing the two technologies and found that players using the virtual surround sound headphones were able to more consistently pinpoint the location of enemies compared to when they were using true surround sound headphones. This is especially true for DTS surround sound as this software surround performed the best.

I got my friend to buy this exact headset a month ago from Walmart for $75.

Mic is crystal clear from what I hear. He said the sound is good and says the headphones are very easy to connect.

He had a Razer headset before which the mic sounded terrible and the interface was hard to use. He returned that and bought the Logitech and is happy with them. He did say however the feel/quality of the headset isn't the best.

Mic is in fact great. I have a pro level speech recognition headset for Dragon, and this thing is just as good, and possibly better at handling noise. My SO has the Arctic 7 mentioned above. That microphone is not actually as good, according to my speech rec software, although its still not bad.

Another worthwhile note: the G533 is better for big heads. Smilie It works on my SO's tiny head, too, but the arctic and so many others are just to damn small.

Feel/quality is a trade-off. It feels a bit plastic-y. That said, it is nicely lightweight. Overall, my only complaint is that it makes plastic creaking sounds sometimes when I adjust it, but not during play.
