Sorry if this is a dumb question, but plugging in something like 2 monitors, and a computer with a 650W PSU, would this safely power that stuff?

It does not have its own power source, so yes, in that sense, it can be doing anything with power safely Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) LMAO

OTOH, this isn't a brand I'd trust. And in that case, the word is 'you get what you pay for' ... when does a "good" deal become a bad one..? Think about it.

We stick with APC and CyberPower for UPS (uninterupted power supply) and surge protection. There are some other good companies that offer a high amount of coverage if equipment is damaged. But then, you pay a bit more.

Would you trust your expensive electronics with a 50 cents surge protector? Definitely not.

Would I trust a 500 joule surge protector for $.50 with anything of value? No

Would I buy it for a cheap extension/break out power strip? Yes

Is there a way to turn off all the deals from walmart showing up in my SD account? They are basically useless. Even though I showed these guys at walmart that this particular store has the things i am looking for they say they might not be updated and they dont have inventory at the moment; and I have instance when i saw a particular inventory upto 2 or 3 weeks later.

With any surge protector most people think they can plug all their things in safely when there is usually a certain amount of watts each surge protector can handle when multiple devices are switched on (from what I've read -I'm no electrician). I have an avr receiver with 2 subs, an Xbox, and various other roku-like stuff that I split up between 2 name brand surges, putting hi wattage stuff separately. If I were you I would buy multiples of a more reputable brand and split the power up. I might buy the surge listed here to use as an extension to a cheap floor fan or alarm clock.

For people in the KC area, the northland Walmart on Church Rd has a bunch in stock @ $1 each in the clearance isle by garden center.

Yeah I wish we could turn off all Walmart YMMV posts. There isn't even a Walmart where I live and when I do happen to be near one they never have these deals. They just seem quite rare.
