One day only newegg has the Corsair Force Series MP600 1TB Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD for $175.49 with coupon code EMCDPFH22.

URL [newegg.com]

The Corsair MP600 uses the new PCIe 4.0 specification which allows this drive to reach speeds up to 4950 MBps reads. To take full advantage you need to use a newer motherboard like the AMDRyzen X570 platform or Threadripper TRX40 boards. Tom's provide one of many reviews on the net Review [tomshardware.com].

There are also a bunch of other drives on sale:

Definitely a good price but be warned, next generation pcie gen 4 SSDs using Phison's new controller are right around the corner.

I wonder how these pcie gen 4 drives benchmark on a pcie gen 3 system vs other gen 3 drives.

Basically wondering if a drive like this could still outperform gen3 drives even with the pcie bottleneck.

I've got an x570 board and I'm pretty sure that thing won't fit in either m.2 slot due to my GPU.

That and SSDs that will be using the Phison e18 controller. Drives were supposed to already be release but I'm assuming there are some COVID related delays. I'm sure they will start coming out in September.

The motherboards I'm looking at have heat sinks over the nvme slots. So I would only take off the Corsair heat sink in that case.
