Metro has improved the iPhone SE promotion. Up to today it used to be
Pay $199 and after 6 month on auto pay get a $100 rebate.
Now it is $149 and after 6 month of auto pay get $100 rebate.
Paying $49 for the devise.
In my area activation fee is $22
Plans start from $40
After 6 month the device can be unlocked.
Metro by T-mobile has T-mobile towers and 5G
In my humble opinion it's is great deal.

What do you mean?
Of course I had to click on each store to see if it was really clickbait and I'm still not done, but if you guys claim clickbait it must be so.

Some Questions.
a) This phone will get unlocked after 6months from date of activation? I plan to use it until I receive cashcard (or may be 1st month only foregoing cashcard). Will that work?
b) I guess the cashback is one per account? If I port-in 4 lines and purchase 4 SEs under my account as 4 lines, do you know if I will get cashback rebate for just 1st line or all 4 lines?
Wait.. u paid 50$ and they give u phone? Did they ask for any commitment like to stay for 6months to get the rebate? As per the op it is afrer getting the rebate.. could u plz enlighten the beauty of this deal?
I get up finally after about 30 minutes and politely ask one of the reps if she was going to help me or should I leave, because they seem busy with other customers, even though I have been waiting here longer than anyone else. She sighs loudly (OH I'M SO SORRY I HAD TO MAKE YOU DO YOUR JOB), then shows me the plan sheet and asks what phone I want (not really paying attention at all to the phone I stated). Tells me I MUST take the $60 plan and activation fee. Free phone ended up being something like over $100+, just to activate. I said there is nothing in the terms saying I must take the $60 plan and wanted the $30 one. Refused to sell the phone otherwise to me, other employee gives the side eye (???) unless I signed up with the most expensive $60 plan (I had a feeling she could tell she was lying to me to get me to leave).
I said screw it and left. They clearly did not want to do business with me, but they clearly will cater to a certain clientele and ignore anyone else. This is why metro deals never make any kind of frontpage on SD or are ignored; they pick and choose who they want to serve, which honestly should be illegal.
Obviously this isn't everyone's scenario, because they're franchise stores and the experience varies wildly, but metro stores are on my shit list for life. metro is always huge YMMV for any deal.
