The transmitter works very well. May be not the range they claim but it solved all the issues I had with BT connections cutting out when I was out of the room. I upgraded to the Pro model later which is BT 5.0. (It is not portable)

What differences have you noticed between performance with the old and new models? The BT 5.0 model is $65 right now and I'm wondering if it's worth it to just get the new version.

The Pro version has Aptx Low Latency (good for watching TV) AND Aptx HD (Good for music) but the point for me was mainly having BT 5.0 since it is the next thing and some of my receivers are already BT 5.0. It connects very fast once paired. I think the Pro has a % off coupon often. One thing I realized is that I needed to get an optical splitter because I wanted to use my receiver AND Headphones and this thing does not pass Optical through while using it.
Edit: Your optical has to be on PCM and not BitStream.I paid $65.

Can this connect to a speaker with a PIN code? I have a hot tub with bluetooth speakers but the transmitter has to enter a PIN of 5555 to connect with them- havent found 1 where I can do that yet.

Is the unit's "LL" and "HD" label swapped? On the TX side, if I flip the switch to HD, the LL led lights up, and is indeed low latency. If I flip the switch to LL, the HD led lights up, and is indeed not low latency I can tell quite a bit of latency. The RX side, the switch does nothing I assume the TX dictates which to use.
