Got one from PX long ago when I was paid to run and gun, think I paid a lot more. Eats batteries and display is hard to read, haven't worn it in years. Mine looks extra tough with embedded sand and mud, should be worth at least $200!
Edit: I'm a dummy with bad memory. I actually have X-Lander Military, not the Core.
Got any data on that? A link you can share with me? My solar GShock has been running great for like 10-15 years and its gone below 100ft several times. The 2 others I've had - basically the same thing.
I've had a few of these (back when REI had lifetime returns), I loved them. But I had problems with all of them after I changed the battery. The initial battery lasted several years. But after I installed the new battery, the screen would flicker and it would restart. After this happened to my second or 3rd watch, I got a solar ABC watch (Casio pro tech). It's not as good looking and it's not as nice to use. But I will never have to worry about that battery issue.

Because they look better, are way more comfortable and all around better quality. Suunto is far better when's it comes to quality control.

Why would anyone buy this over the G-Shocks that are at this price point? I don't see it.
I like the compass feature, including elevation, not to mention that they are very robust i used mine on hike, swimming and on my tactical training, scars here and there and still functional. You can have this kind of feature on g-shock for like $300+ also everybody have they're own preferences on external looks

Cause they look better
Got it. Like I said, I don't see it but I guess if that's more important than ruggedness in this style watch.
LOL at the downvotes.
