Even with a kill switch, your battery drains. Not to mention all your electronics, ie. stereo will lose all memory. Plus, these are great for motorcycles, which don't exactly get driven daily.
Batteries discharge over time, even without anything hooked up to that battery. If you ever bought a new battery off the shelf and then checked with a multimeter you will find that it too is not completely charged. A kill switch will not help in that situation. Anyone with a motorcycle knows that if you don't ride it after a few months (even with the battery disconnected) the odds of that battery having enough juice to start the engine is slim to none.

Now back to the deal. This is a good price for a 2 amp battery tender/maintainer that also desulfates. I have a tender already (different brand) but was thinking about getting a couple more. With covid, I haven't been driving much at all and I have been moving my 1 tender between 3 cars every week. It was fine at first but now 5 months later (?) it has become annoying.
For those saying this is not a good deal, yes there are cheaper "battery tenders" out there but keep in mind this one is not just a tender but also a desulfator. If you are not familiar with this please google "battery desulfation". A desulfator is needed when a battery is so dead it can no longer be charged by a tender or a standard trickle charger. It also reconditions the battery. I have a tender that is also a desulfator (BatteryMinder brand) that I believe was $50 for a 1amp. So for a 2amp version for $33 is a decent deal for what you are getting.

No mode for lithium. Strange considering the GENIUS1 has it.

Beyond maintenance - It's not a trickle charger, it's an advanced battery maintainer. It monitors your battery 24/7, providing intuitive and safe maintenance charging with zero overcharge. A fully-automatic, worry-free battery charger for year-round use.

Tender is off board so no under hood space required. Tender plugs into an installed cable which can be accessed through the grill. Tender can be used on multiple vehicles. I charge each of my vehicles once per week to maintain battery health during this pandemic. Newer vehicles loose functions or settings with the application of a kill switch.

It's the same as a battery tender, no different. If you put a low battery on it, it will trickle charge it at a 2A rate and then cut off when it's full, at which point it turns into a float charger, only trickle charging again once the voltage drops beyond a certain preprogrammed limit.

Just get a battery kill switch ..if you have parasitic discharge this won't solve it. If you don't this won't add anything . If you want to make sure your battery is OK after car sits prolonged amount of time a kill switch is all you need

Redundant product.
Any car with an alternator shouldn't need it and any car with a stator is better with installing a kill switch
