Long Version:
Looked at this vs a Withings Steel HR - getting out of Fitbit 'bands' for a more traditional looking watch - Reviews generally have them on par with each other, but the major difference is Garmin recharging after 5 days (always-on HR, like Fitbit or Apple) and built-in GPS while Withings will last 25 DAYS (tracks HR every 10 mins unless it recognizes activity ie. running, swimming, or activated by you) and runs GPS off your phone.
Most Withings reviews (c. 2017-2019) will note a lot of its previous shortcomings (ie. no stopwatch, Strava syncing) but as of the latest July 2020 OS update it's a fully featured health and fitness tracker with all the bells and whistles. In terms of recharging and aesthetics, it's not even a comparison, Withing's is just the classier looker.
I got this for my wife some years back. She loved it. Got many compliments. It was a rose gold version. Then she lost it...
