Walmart Clearance Grills/Griddles YMMV

Have not seen a thread yet for WalMart clearance prices on grills. I have been watching grill prices for a few weeks now and have seen a few. These are just gas grills or combos.

Not really, since Weber's last so much longer (and cook better) the cost of them over time is actually less. I appreciate your post for folks that perhaps need something less expensive as everyone's needs are different, but the reason the others recommended Weber is also a valid point that is far from "useless" so people can make informed decisions. Once you buy a $200 dollar grill and have it rust out in 2-3 years then move to something better (not just Weber) and it lasts 15+ it will all become clear.

My last 2 grills have been a char-broil and one lasted 8 years and the current one is 5 years. You would have to buy really cheap grills for them to on last 2 to 3 years. Maybe if you keep them out all winter in the snow but taking minor care of a grill during the year should make it last..

Regardless coming into a thread to say Weber is better and not offering any reason or any comparable products is in my opinion useless.

Weber or never!
sorry! I accidentally thumbs downed. I meant to up! I'll make it up to you!

I have 3 smokers and several other brand grills. My Weber Performer can grill, smoke a shoulder or briskit, perfectly sear a 45 day dry aged ribeye to medium rare in minutes, 2 zone some burgers and brats, whatever. No other grill can duplicate the 30 year old Weber classic design for all things cooking.

I can smoke a pork shoulder or brisket for 14 hours at 225 and never touch my weber grill. (Not the smoker... the GRILL)

Been looking at some Webers on FB marketplace and they all seem to have some amount of rust on them. Do the newer stainless Webers rust faster than the old painted ones?

Faster. Cheaper material, made in China now.

Any recommendations for grills that are similar to what Weber used to be? Lynx and Lion are nice but big money.

Contrarian View: Weber's are king of grills... BUT.... griddles > grills, which is much more important than any difference in quality!

Have to agree on the weber comments. Simply just cook better. Got my Genesis on clearance couple year ago and its still awesome and like new.
