Isn't wearing a rewashable 3-ply mask enough? I don't think a lot of people want to buy this many in bulk, unless they frequently use it for their jobs

This gives N95-level performance (the P means it's OK with oil aerosols but is otherwise the same) with a half-face respirator, which also have recently gotten back in stock.

This is the first time US-made filters for these have been back in stock since the early days of the pandemic. CN models have been available on eBay, but nothing US-made from normal suppliers for a long time. In for one (hundred) since it's shipped and sold from Amazon...

Great price per pair--about half the lowest price I saw two weeks ago.

Yeah practically speaking these filters last a long time and don't need to be replaced very often unless you are blowing attic insulation every day or something like that (sanding drywall, etc.). They don't get less effective at filtering, they only get harder to breathe through over time.

Medical professionals have to replace or disinfect their masks regularly. But for the occasional consumer trip to the store, these filters will last a long time. If you have a half-face respirator don't forget to cover the exhale valve with fabric or something for the safety of others.

Slick deal for people who need this many though.

Medical professionals may have to wear something that lets them wear a face shield

This may be good for first-responders, cops, etc.

Sure my point was that there are guidelines out there saying you should replace or disinfect your mask after X hours but that's more targeted towards medical professionals with surgical type masks and not as big of an issue for consumers wearing half-face respirators.

Heh, the ones who buy this may try to re-sell and upsell; I won't be surprised if it happens

Yeah, I'm sure this won't be abused by unethical people, not like that's happened already this year. I don't know why 3M doesn't sell direct to people who can demonstrate need.

Does 3M make any half masks that use these filters that don't have a exhale valve? Why have a N95 mask that doesn't protect both the user and the public?

Because they weren't made for pandemics, they were made for shop usage. It wasn't about keeping you from spreading contamination but protecting your lungs from contamination.

Great for us woodworkers. Stores have been out of legit dust masks for months, and reusable cotton masks and disposable surgical masks just don't cut it for this use.

Enough for what?
Enough to be socially acceptable? Probably.
Enough to stop COVID? Nope.

The only reason that all of us aren't wearing real NISOSH certified masks is because there aren't enough of them to go around. Hell, even 6 months in and there still aren't even enough for healthcare workers. These half-face respirators are the best filters anyone outside of healthcare can get.
