Bought this at Costco in Los Angeles, CA.
Blue Buffalo Adult kibble, Chicken and Brown Rice.
Costco sells it for $47.99 but there is an in-store promotional discount of $13.
Bringing it to a total of $34.99.
I did not find the offer in a monthly book, so maybe YMMV.

I know I am a day late to this thread, but I just cooked up some fried chicken. I got it on sale for $5 for ten pounds. Usually, Walmart sells a ten pound bag of quarters for seven bucks now. I cut the quarters into thighs and drumsticks, and brined them. Then I breaded them in a simple cornmeal and put them in a deep fryer for six minutes each. Then I baked them. Okay, enough details...

I just realized that my fried chicken at fifty cents a pound, was cheaper than the crappy dog food I buy at Walmart. So I took a thigh and removed the main bone and the back bone part, and gave the meat and skin to my dog. Of course he loved it. And it was cheaper than the Walmart dog food.

@unfrozen I actually cook a lot for my dog. Simple meat (turkey/ chicken/ beef), carbs (potatoes/ brown rice/ beans/ barley, beets), and green veggies (any, really). You mix ingridients at 2/1/1 parts and throw in slow cooker or pressure cooker. Costs me ~$10 and lasts 10-14 days. I still like to add dry food to provide all necessary nutrients that I might have missed with a Whole Foods meal.
