Thanks for the heads up on the clearance. I'm going to wait for my local area Lowe's to drop the price further if possible. One of them is full price at $200, lowest is at $150, and the rest are in between. Definitely would pick it up if it's closer to $100 for 50% off.

Nice! Just picked one up. The battery alone is $160, so you're saving $10 on the battery. Plus you get a free $40 charger and a free blower which is more powerful than their 24v blower at $100.

I like free.

3rd bullet of original post says 75min on low. A 4AH battery would be heavy as heck for a blower. I have 80V tools and those 2.5 batteries are not small.

Just keep in mind if your buying into the 80V ecosystem from Lowe's and Kobalt. You better get all the tools needed as they are discontinuing the lineup to make room forEGO powered equipment [bizjournals.com]. So if you're planning to buy other 80V products later on you'll have to deal a secondary with a market with no warranty, only products purchased from Lowe's will the warranty be honored.

Since the current EGO platform is 60v, I would think it reasonable to hope the Greenworks 60v line joints the now discontinued (at least at Lowe's) Craftsman 60v line on the proverbial scrapheap. As someone that has invested in the Kobalt 80v line, I've got my fingers crossed.

I'm going to wait till closer to $100. Already have the mower and string trimmer deal with 3 batts and 2 chargers from a couple years ago and absolutely love them. I would just sell this battery and charger as 3 is plenty for me.

No but I know people who work for Global Works, they make Kobalt 80V L&G equipment and Green works. They haven't been producing Kobalt branded 80V tools for a little while. That's why the 80V lineup is on clearance.
