I got lucky and my eBay account qualified for the extra $25 off coupon (HAPPY25 posted earlier today, so I ended up with these for $51.64 after tax + free shipping!

These are one of the top-rated cycling/sports sunglasses and are an Outdoor Gear Lab top pick: https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/biking/sport-sunglasses/smith-attack-max [outdoorgearlab.com].

Even on sale these are usually in the $150 range, so this is the best deal I've seen.

They're an eBay "Top Rated Plus" seller and are covered by eBay's money back guarantee. 99.7% positive feedback on over 25,000 reviews, almost all sunglasses, so if they're selling fakes they have *really* good ones. I did a quick search of the most recent 800 or so reviews and didn't find any mention of fakes.

Not even if I was a lesbian softball coach would I wear these. Maybe if I was Kenny Powers.

I recently purchased these from this seller. They are brand new Authentics. These aren't really for fashion as much as they are for function. The visibility With lack of frames is phenomenal for cycling when trying to look back over shoulder

Ha. Similar to the bigger oakleys and other sport focused models, I would certainly never wear mine out on the town with the family. But for those interested for sport purposes, they fit well and look good with bike helmet.

Where's the buy link? It's close to my wife's birthday and she is an avid cyclist.

Where are these made? Most Smith Optics are now made in China, although a couple are still made in Italy. $70 for Chinese glasses is no deal. Lots of good American and Italian made glasses for $100 or less are out there.

Good Q — the Attack line is made in China, as far as I can tell. For cycling sunglasses, I know 100% and some Oakley's are made in the USA or Italy, but I'm not aware of any of their premium offerings for <$100? Regardless of manufacture location, Smith Optics are generally regarded as at or near the top of the heap in terms of quality and optics. Look up reviews for these and you'll find many cyclists think they are the best of the best, and many were willing to spend $200+ on them. $50-70 is a great deal.

Agreed. I used to have Smith arena model. Then I got a good deal on Oakley jawbreakers. The smith attack improved the fit versus the arena as it gives better coverage. The attacks are noticeably lighter and I prefer the frameless design over the oakleys.

Sure, these are not bad dedicated bike glasses. But I have Serengetti's made in Italy that have absolutely superior optics. These are now here close to Srengetti quality. I got each for a touch under $100. The deals are out there, you just have to find them.

I will also say I have bike clothing made in China that uis decent, but that is the exception not the rule. I just got a Pearl Izumi bib set up made in China. The bike oriented stuff has found a way to get quality control and China in the same sentence (of course the best frames are made in Taiwan) but still most stuff is garbage.

It took my 2 seconds to find these (made in Italy): https://www.sierra.com/revo-made-...glasses%2F

Again, these glasses look better than most garbage coming out of China, this is a decent price def worth it if shipping and tax are free.

China is improving, but glasses made in the US, Italy, and Japan (good stuff) is still better.

Here is a Smith Chroma pop made in Italy for 99 bucks. The Wayfarers are $79.

BTW: I have owned 2 pair of Smiths made in Europe and they were good glasses. But 2 steps down from Serengettis and some other really good glasses.

That is a drastically different style of sunglasses for different intended purposes. The smith's also come with two very good sets of lenses to cover different lighting conditions and an adjustable nose of to get a better fit. Not saying you aren't correct that there are other good options out there under $100, but these Smiths at $50-$70 would be fantastic for many people looking for a performance oriented pair of sunglasses.

If you need a pair of cycling glasses, yes, these absolutely are an excellent deal. And anything associated with cycling is usually pricey so 70 bucks is cheap.

However, in my case I have glasses and was looking for a steal, so dif situation.

Thanks Op while the style may not be for everyone.but these frame less sunglasses are great for cycling for me.At 70$ for a pair of glasses with good a lens and a extra lens is a pretty decent deal. you can defintely shop around and maybe get lucky with some cheap pair. but I have been down that road and lens clarity is hit or miss with the cheaper stuff.
