damn at $400 it had better do a damn good job at cleaning.
I've had my BioBidet BB-1700 for about 6 years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything except an upgraded bidet. I bought mine for ~$300, and it was worth every penny. Average person uses like $80-$100 in TP a year, so it paid itself off quickly between me and my SO. I'm in the market for another bidet for the guest bathroom...but tempted to upgrade the master bath with something like this one where it has a remote control instead of fixed controls on the side. And profiles. And illumination. Shit....
I saw this earlier today but it was out of stock and still is from what it shows. Heard this one is decent but water pressure is not the best on it. Personally, I'm waiting for good deal on Bio Bidet 2000. In past it's gone to $300 or so on Amazon Prime day.

do you keep the remote in a plastic bag to keep it "clean"

Why would it not be clean? I don't poop on the remote, and I don't need toilet paper to wipe my ass. I didn't like the fixed remote on the side though of my BB1700, was just inconvenient and doesn't have personal profiles. Also, it's very inconvenient to look at when it's fixed to the side, and operate.
How does this compare to the Bio Bidet BB-2000 anyone?
BioBidet makes great products in the entry level price range. It's like owning the nicest trim level of a Toyota Camry. It's reliable as hell and gets the job done, but it's not as nice as BMW M-Series. Hope that makes sense.

Considering they'll be seated when they need to use it, if it ends up in the toilet then it was deliberately put there.
