is this a good deal, O knowledgeable computer people? if so, what is a good budget cpu to go with it? TIA.
Really on preference and needs but ur basic ryzen none X version cpu you should be ok with to game, you really don't need a six core cpu to run cod and such

i need a 6 or 8 core processor, and lots of ram to work with large PS files. i don't game, so frame speed, etc, is not an issue for me.

Ryzen 5 3600X is absolutely a beast of cpu, all around. If you got little more money to spend Ryzen 7 3700X is the next step up. Either way, you can't go wrong, if you really don't need Ryzen 9 3900X which has 12-cores, 24-threads.
AMD recently launched Ryzen 5 3400G, which has integrated Radeon Vega graphics, which should be able to handle a lot of games at medium settings, if that's what suites your need.
R5 3600 is currently the cheapest 6 core processor you can get in this generation. Next generation of ryzen processors is coming out soon, so you might be able to catch sales of this gen or catch something from the next gen.

Same question... Is this a good deal? 0.o
Yeah it'll work fine. GPUs need x16 pci-e slots, and pci-e 4.0 won't matter
Ryzen 3100 or 3300X if you can find one.
Edit: Only use these if you are using a graphics card. if not go with a Ryzen 3200G or 3400G.

How do you define "superspeed"? This board does have 5 Gbps Type-A ports and a 5 Gbps Type-C header.
Thought that was known 'industry' term for 10Gbit usb, I see that I'm a noob and it only refers to usb 3.0 (5Gbit)
From what I hear, this board has really good thermals. It's disappointing that it doesn't have 10 Gbps, though.
