$50 more than best Dell Inspiron deal with I7-10700 processor however this Vostro model includes enterprise features and the case is 25% larger than Inspiron with ventilation so system should run much cooler under load (e.g. VM's, graphics, games), and includes Windows 10 PRO ($90 upgrade value) for those interested.

Summary: If you plan on subscribing to respected AV software (you should ideally) and an upgrade to Windows 10 PRO then compared to other desktop deals for $530 or more ($699 - $80 - $90) and considering the other features this is a no-brainer even more so.

Very good for someone like me who likes to keep their PCs for 4 years. Personally I wouldn't expect an Inspiron to last 2 years and I'd have to upgrade the PSU.
Pros:
1. Beast of a processor.
2. Highly upgradeable.
3. Win PRO
4. Can buy optional warrantly for < $100 - 4 yrs on site with accident protection.
5. Business class PC.

Neg:
1. On VIEW CONFIGURATION specs this Vostro lists both 260W and 460W PSU on the site. If 260W, that would suck. I know I could chat Dell Rep but I think it's stupid that Dell can't be clear on their own website.
2. Should probably have 16GB RAM at this price?

Link? I'm seeing $700 if I select an i5 from the other configurations.

Pulled the trigger on this deal and bought it with the Phantom PDF Business for $60 less than retail. Please note that you can add a HDD but the M2 PCIe drive is only up to 512 MB and the HDD is only up to 2 TB: https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/v..._en-us.pdf

I also went to Amazon and bought additional RAM compatible with this Dell's computers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BYFY...vFbPTPH6QC

Also got a 2 TB 3.5" HDD from Amazon. Hoping to use this as a work desktop for the next 3-4 years. Looks to be a great deal for the components/price.

This comes with 460W - as described tech specs. Also described clearly when ordering.

Is this really a good price point for a desktop?

I'm thinking in terms of the Vostro 7500 laptop deals that have a similar CPU with 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, DGPU and obviously a display for about $1k. Same product line and support contracts available. Feels like this deal is missing a lot - most SDers in this price range would want to upgrade RAM and SSD right away.

I just checked the manual on their site, this machine takes that small power supply similar to whats in the Inspiron...was just thinking about upgrading the video card in the future

I am not that much expert in building desktops, but does anyone know if this is going to support the new 3000 Nvidia GPUs? Seems like this machine needs a good GPU and one 8GB RAM stick to be a great future proof workstation for at least 4-5 years.
