I just noticed that Amazon has dropped the price of the upcoming Fitbit
Sense to $306.37 (plus tax/shipping) for the Carbon one, and $306.55 for the White/Gold one.
Not a huge drop, but if you were going to preorder one at $330, this will save you $20+.

Edit: Looks like the Blue/Gold
Versa 3 preorder also has a slight price cut from $230 down to $216.12:

Funny you should say that. After my Ionic just up and died after 18mo, and the Versa I bought to replace it barely made it a year... I swore off Fitbit. But of course, I've decided to come back after they announced the Sense. And if I'm going to shell out that much money, I expect it to last me like 2-3 years. So I'm definitely getting an extended warranty!
I've had a ton of connection problems with the Ionic since buying it. However the software tracking is pretty good. I also hate how they've moved a lot of features to the paid service.
I've been debating buying a Garmin but trying to find the right model (need music and gps).

Yes, use Amex for extended warranty benefits. Having logged over 36 million steps with Fitbit over the years (yes - I just looked) something will go wrong between 6-18 months of ownership so save receipts and expect to file a claim with Fitbit and/or under an extended warranty or both. It's an inconvenience but look at it this way - you'll almost be guaranteed to get a new or refurbished watch eventually.

That's being generous. Mine usually last 366 days.

Garmin all the way. I've had a few watches over the years and have been very satisfied. I currently have the 245 music and haven't had any real issues. Main thing you'll need to decide is if you want a sports watch with a few smart watch capabilities or vice versa.

As for Garmin, get the 245. Great watch, slim, this new model has the music included, and the GPS is accurate and fast. I used to have the 225, and eventually splurged on the Fenix 5+ Sapphire :-/
