Was going to get the floating tv stand, until I read "Recommended for concrete and brick walls, not dry walls."
These are absolutely a great center piece for any family/living room, but be warned, they are a nightmare to assemble and mount. That said, if you get it right, well worth the 10 hour project.
I don't see how that can possibly matter for something so large as long as you hit studs. But who knows, maybe the mounting system is asinine. You can probably just get a piece of 5/8 plywood and call it a day even if the system is cardboard... But then again, you could build the entire thing out of plywood yourself and save the money.

I'm undecided on this without seeing how they actually made this now.

I got this set recently. It adds look to the living room. Only issue I am facing is organizing wires and extenders. Frown

Can these be assembled with 1 person or do you need another person or 2?

look in the manual, the spacing of the holes on the hanger slats is just stupid... there's some 15.1'' apart, others 12.6, and some 15.9; there's 21 total holes. i wouldn't just drill new holes at 24'', that never works in crap particle board. i suppose you might hit a stud here and there, just from dumb luck while putting it on the wall where you want. i'd never use toggles, just hate them. i'd certainly trust Togglers though, those things are fantastic.

Just bought the floating media center, I'll probably run some 1x4's to the studs across the wall to act as a sturdy cleat for easy hanging

Why do this when you can just wall mount the tv and install a few floating shelves?

2 people, 5-10 hours, depending on power drill and skill.

For those of us with Prime and wouldn't mind it being shipped for less than 3 bucks more.
