According to the description, they are paintable. That said, I guess you'd still have a white grill showing white because I'd imagine it is not paintable.

They are paintable, grill too, you pull the grill off and mask off the speaker area. I masked off the connections too

I bought a set earlier this year and was surprised that these are way more cream colored than white. It actually blends better with my house color, but its not white or even off-white.

I agree. They are much more cream and they actually look different the edges are rounded off.
