12lbs is big bag...we should not eat so many chemical anyway.
The items are in pool chemical department, they are not eatable LOL.
Looks like it's the same as baking soda in the grocery department, just marketed towards pools. Even has the drug and nutrition facts labels on the back. Should be safe to eat.

Now I just need a deal on a 5 gallon bucket of vinegar and I can finally make that giant volcano in my yard 😂😂😂

But seriously I used several bags of baking soda many years ago on a condo renovation to neutralize pet odors that seeped into the concrete under the carpets. It was previously lived in by a hoarder with several cats. The smell was horrid and I tried every cleaning chemical available. Finally the baking soda seemed to do the trick!

Its the same packaging, doesn't say for pools, its in large amounts to change the alkalinity and PH of the pool. Its editable.

Was buying flooring when a guy comes in looking for cheap tile because his animals were using the bathroom in the house and he wanted to get rid of the carpet. The tile costs too much so he asks the guy about cheap carpet and the guy says if your animals are going to keep going to the bathroom in the house why even replace it? The guys told him that he was right and opted to keep everything as it was.

Eureka, MO 63025 (just west of St. Louis) has plenty (~10). In the inside garden center with other pool supplies (on clearance) and fall decorations.

Another "chemical" person. shake head

You obviously don't realize WATER is a chemical. 2 parts hydrogen, 1 part oxygen. It's been a chemical since the big bang.

Baking soda is baking soda. It is absolutely edible.

The comments in this thread hurt my brain. Yes, this product is edible (not "eatable" and not "editable"). In addition to baking uses, baking soda has many, many other uses around the house but the normal price of this bag at costco is maybe $5-$7, so I wouldn't kill myself trying to find this in a store at a few bucks off.
