Great prices! About $50 cheaper than the one I just bought from some other auto parts store on Monday (size 35) with the same CCA.

wow... did battery prices increase at Sam's Club within the last year and half?

In March 2019, I bought the group 49 battery for just $91, according to my Sam's Club receipt.

it is now $101, after the $20 coupon.... which means it increased by $30 since March 2019? Frown

Not necessarily. I change the batteries on our cars as preventative maintenance. I live in a really hot climate so batteries don't live past 5 years usually. Once our batteries hit 4 years I grab a new one when it's convenient. Haven't been stranded with a dead battery in forever.

Since Covid the prices have gone up about 20%, and are continuing to go up. The battery I bought for my lawn mower 2 years ago was $29 and now $59...Using jump start until I retrofit with Walmart U1 $25 battery that used to be $20 last year. (Winter project)

Same here. I've noticed since I started working from home, my 2016 CX-5 would not start after 3-5 days of sitting in the garage (I do have remote starter so there's some draining). I've been using a trickle-charger in the garage when I don't anticipate driving soon. This is a good deal at the right time for me. I'm in the opposite weather, Minnesota, btw :-)

I would have thought that since people are driving a lot less.... car battery prices should have come down due to less demand... although I've also heard that a lot of people are driving less and leaving their car batteries completely dead due to not driving as much... (which causes many car batteries to die as they are not really built to withstand being completely dead for prolonged periods of time.... so demand is actually going up... and so do the prices) Smilie

(sorry..... it's only 5AM here and without coffee, I tend to start ranting like Joe Biden's crazy uncle Eddie from Scottsdale.. after I get my coffee machine going, i will continue writing my thesis on the debunking of the myth that neutrons have a mass)

What I've researched their rebranded deka which are one of the best, I just bought an interstate from Costco because same warranty lower price, but deka is suppose to be one of the best.

Not in my experience. My first Duracell from batteries plus bulbs lasted about 20 months and had it replaced under warranty. The replacement lasted about the same. The battery from advance auto is still going strong on my other car after 3 years.

Same. Some people are willing to have a car break down or worse, have their kids/wife stranded.

You can buy a USB charged starter pack and leave it in the trunk with the tire or glovebox. Just recharge it every 6 months - 1 year. This is all the tow truck companies use to jump start a car now anyway.
