It might be a low price, but be aware this camera came out 12 years ago. Autofocus and image sensor quality are outdated compared to today. And the bundled items are things like the eye cup, that they literally pulled off the back of the camera and saying it's one of the 18 items in the bundle. No way this is a FP deal unless it's being sponsored.

from what i can tell, the lens each one has is different generation. the cheaper one has a gen 3 lens, and the more expensive one has a gen 2 lens, marked by the roman numeral on it. unsure what this means for actual performance or why an older version of the same lens would be cheaper, but other than that they're identical deals.

quick edit: the more expensive bundles lens seems to lack optical image stabilization as well according to it's description.

The T7 is listed on Canon's list of cameras that can live stream using their beta software. It is also the cheapest dslr option that works for live stream.

Is the T7 really old tech?

I was eyeing this refurbished bundle with 1 year warranty from Canon

https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/e...m-4-56-iii

there's a 10% coupon around the web which brings it down to $360 before tax and $15 shipping

any tech limitations of using this as a live stream camera for Zoom?

For the impulse buyers out there, a little bit of my experience before you pull the trigger on a dslr you're not sure if you need: I bought a Canon EOS Rebel T3i refurbished in 2012 that still takes excellent pictures (with a nice sigma lens that cost more than the camera). In fact, I can easily get better quality pictures out of it than my iPhone X. But I seldom use it. I take family pictures with it a few times a year. I might take it on a trip. But my phone camera is just too convenient -- and the pictures are pretty good for the (little) work it takes to capture them.

This T7 may be a cheap entry into DSLR photography or even video, but you'll want a better lens to get the most out of it. But if you think you'd rather just 'point and shoot' without adjusting camera settings for various shots, you may better off sticking to your phone camera if its decent. (Oh, and the bundle isn't bad but it is a little gimmicky).

Can't agree more, the best camera is what you have at that time.

Please clarify. The T7 came out in 2018. I have a T7i and it's my daily.

Even though the T7 is a fairly new camera the technology for this camera started out a number of yrs ago. They had a T3, T4, T5, T6, T7 and I there's a T8 mirrorless now.

The t "i" series cameras always have better a newer innovation a faster processors. The T series processors are rehashed from old processors not as fast and lack features found on the T"i" cameras. If you have a T7i you have a great camera!!
