So the whole base of the game is like cops and robbers lol
So you have your good guys and the bad guys.. in this game you games modes such as hostage, bomb, and secure area.
So you can tear apart who is the bad guys and who is the good guys when playing the game.. offensive team are the good guys and the defensive team are the bad guys.
Over all it is a team game.. but these operators are basically charted up with specific roles that each operator must take action on their role..
(Operators have a tactical ability)
for example there is an operator who is named 'Valkyrie' who is a female and her role is to place 360 degree cameras around the area.. her cameras give Valkyrie and her team the advantage to see around the defended area that she is going to defend with her team.. another example is you have an operator named 'Sledge' who is a male and his role is to use his sledgehammer to his advantage by destroying breakable walls, floors, etc.
Sledge can use this ability to open up these breakable surfaces for himself and for his teammates.
So not go longer with this but each operator has a specific role they take in when either being the offensive team or the defensive team.. with this pack you will get 16 operators.. operators that you don't have to unlock.. for the price it's right and to be honest it is a lot of grinding for R6 credits.. R6 credits allows you to buy an operator individually. Which the cost for an operator can be 10,000 R6 credits to 25,000 R6 credits. Price on operator may vary .. depends on what year the operator came out on.
If you are confused maybe just look at some gameplay of the game.. because there is a bunch of operators in the game and it's a lot to learn and explain.
Gameplay-wise, this is a wonderful game. Unfortunately, it has probably the most toxic community in all of games at the moment, most of which are very unwelcoming of new players. If you have a group of friends you can play with, it can be a good time, but otherwise it can be extremely frustrating, just an FYI.

For someone not familiar with the game, what are these "operators" you speak of?

That's actually good value. I get wrecked on pc. Is this more fun on console?
You have to press down on the thumbsticks to peak right/left, which gets annoying. Also be ready for shotgun spam since aiming with a controller is harder.
Absolutely love R6 Siege. I've had it for nearly 4 years (since it came out). This game being $10 is a great value as the game is still being supported and receives seasonal updates which bring in new maps and operators.
I'd highly recommend getting if you don't own it already and enjoy realistic FPS.

100% agree with the toxicity. I've never played a game with players so bad. It is way worse than COD, Dead by Daylight or any other game. It is an incredibly fun game if you have other friends to play with. It can be very tactical and encourages team communication.
i sometimes play this with my kiddo and his friends. people are toxic for sure. it can be fun you just have to ignore the idiots.
for example, my son is pretty good. He failed to clutch on a 1 v 3 (I watched the match) but killed 2 of the 3. This was round one in a best of 5. 2 teamates kept messaging him "good job" but with colorful language and then proceeded to team kill him each round and then drag the match out only to throw the last round. This has happened in many different iterations.
as long as you ignore that stuff the game is fun.
I still think destiny has the best gun play of all games but do not play it anymore
last warning, this game is a cash grab. cosmetic upgrades, new characters, etc etc all cost money. you can earn to get them but it would take forever.
