1) the "best by" date is in a very near future
2) bugs inside the product - plenty of pictures - yak!
I have 40% coupon for S&S, so it makes it under $6 for me before taxes however it's an easy pass considering there is a high change to received close to expiration date product with bugs inside the package...
One recent complaint was the pistachios were barely better then sunflower seeds and big as pumpkin seeds. That is very hard to believe. Some people will post silly reviews without no backing. Regardless of brand I have found bugs which are silk worms in pistachios. It is pretty common.
