Cheaper knockoffs can be found on ebay and amazon, just search "heng balance lamp" and sort by price.
I saw this at New York MOMA store last year, and was mesmerized by it...
But the design is actually pretty simple - the two magnetic balls lift up a switch inside the base to turn light on.
