If you are looking for interesting lamp design, here's Heng balance lamp.

Cheaper knockoffs can be found on ebay and amazon, just search "heng balance lamp" and sort by price.

I saw this at New York MOMA store last year, and was mesmerized by it...
But the design is actually pretty simple - the two magnetic balls lift up a switch inside the base to turn light on.

Yeah, I think it's regular price (not really slick). But people seem intrigued by it, and a mod suggested I post it.
And if any of this helps support museum operation during 2020, it's even better.

Regular all day everyday price of $25. It's because it's the mini version vs the large and that it's ABS plastic vs the wood. The large wooden version sells for $70. The ABS looks small and cheap and not worth $25.

The build quality of this was garbage when it was a kickstarter. I bought 4 of them and they have all broken or delaminated. The product itself is pretty cool, but atrocious build quality.
