Thank you for this comment. I felt alone in hating the forza 7 career mode. I loved the progression in the older GT games.

Career mode is pretty bad and serves as a basic tutorial. Multiplayer is pretty good in this game. Definitely a great simulator for car feel if you have a good race wheel.
Assetto Corsa requires a bit of commitment and I would say you are missing out too much if you aren't using a wheel. I have never seen a competitive contoller driver in multiplayer in the servers I am in (you can tell from how notchy the driver's inputs are).
