Good if you have a Pepboys local.

I needed a new car battery and was searching. Price after discount is much cheaper than Sams, Walmart or Costco. The batteries they hav, have a 3 or 4 year free replacement also.

Price reflects in cart.

Also if you need other parts, 25% is hard to beat!

This is a great deal that I've been using for a while. Many parts at really good prices after the discount.

For those interested in the AGM batteries they carry, there is a $40 rebate twice a year...

Just looked up 24F, it's actually more expensive at Pep Boys after the coupon. Currently $83 at Sam's.

it's hard to beat the membership clubs for regular battery prices. The AGM they have is $165 give or take some plus the 25% and $40 rebate comes to about $100-120 which is decent for an AGM battery.

Pep Boys offers 25% off when using store pick up on a lot of stuff, mostly detailing products. That almost always makes them the lowest price online

Their website is so unbelievably awful, you should get a discount for using it lol

I recently picked up a gallon jug of Evaporust there for $15, and 1qt Valvoline DOT 3/4 brake fluid for $4. Both are way cheaper than I've seen anywhere else. I'm rebuilding my calipers and both came in handy. I also got a couple of loaner tools from them. They have a pretty decent selection of those.

Walmart has some decent deals, like $4 for 1qt of Marvel's Mystery Oil and $5 for a gallon of Purple Power cleaner.

Advance Auto has ongoing 25% off codes you can easily google, and great base prices on Forney drill wire brush wheels.

I also just picked up a 3 piece set of putty knives at Autozone for $3.

And, of course, there's deals to be found on Amazon and Harbor Freight. I'm looking at a 3 piece micrometer set at HF for $32 after 20% off coupon.

No one has the best prices on everything, unfortunately.

Autozone's is worse. No way to sort search results. Advance Auto's site is often ridiculously slow. And none have a Save For Later list. None have fully figured out online shopping. But, if there's a deal to be had, it's usually worth the bother.

Looked at the H5 Car Battery and it was more than priced at Sams/Walmart. The 36 month battery only had 30 months for free replacement.

Quite a few Pepboys have closed their doors for parts sales. Supposedly even after Covid, they won't be coming back. The service bays will still operate and you can order parts online for store pickup. I found this out when trying to warranty a year old AGM battery last month. It took over a week to get my replacement

maybe i just had terrible luck but I bit on some of their prostop platinum brake pads a year or two ago. My F-150, the shop said they wouldn't fit (I verified I ordered the "correct" part). My Genesis - terrible TERRIBLE squeeling and ringing, had to pay to have them taken off, cleaned and put back on, which solved the problem. Then my wife's Mazda, squeeling within a hundred miles and never went away after about 1000 or so, so we had to take it back in and have different pads put on. And since I brought my own pads, none of the work was warrantied. So...they are junk IMO. I'll just pay a little more upfront to get the shop/dealer to stand behind it.
