RIDGID 18 Volt 5 In. Random Orbit Sander factory blemished for $31.78 Tool only (no battery) with $7 flat rate shipping so comes out to $37.78. This is the Cheapest i have ever seen it. Home depot is selling it for 79.99 if you can find it in stock.
"Factory blemished", never ordered from here is that a deal breaker? Also is the regular warranty affected by that? Wish it came with a battery too
Factory blemished are brand new items with minor if any cosmetic imperfection. The regular is not affected in anyway, it will still be cover by Rudgid LSA. For 31.78.. no way you are ever getting a battery.. but that would be fire.

Is there anything in writing that confirms this is eligible for the LSA?

I purchased this a few months ago for this price and received the LSA. FWIW I've purchased several factory blemished ridgid tools from Direct Tools. I've received only brand new tools in original boxes and got the LSA on all of them.

Yes actually there is. If you go on to register the product. You get the option to choose you bought the item from direct tools outlet. And once you select that option, it tells you that factory blemished items count for the LSA.
I paid $55 for this not too long ago, and I still feel I received a good value. At this price it's definitely worth it to anybody in the Ridgid ecosystem.

Yes, but it should be a requisite part of posting any Ridgid deal from DTO in my humble opinion. Just like a brickseek link should always be part of any YMMV Lowes/HD/Walmart posting...

Since there is ALWAYS doubt from non-believers, I saved a screenshot the last time I registered a factory blemished Ridgid from Direct Tools for the LSA.
Can confirm it is eligible for warranty. I bought last time it was this price. Good deal. Good sander but kind of heavy. Just FYI if you do a lot of stuff where that might matter to you.

Interesting. Sounds like when I can't remember who was was offloading a bunch of Logitech stock at discounts, they would sell it as "new open box" or something like that. It allows them to discount it and not violate their pricing policies with the manufacturer. Of course everything you got was brand new in unopened box. Maybe it's the same here.
