This stand features a high strength and lightweight aluminum construction and can accommodate all RIDGID miter saws, as well as most other brands. The quick release mounting brackets help you easily mount and remove your miter saw from the stand. It folds up quickly and easily for added convenience. Backed by the RIDGID Lifetime Service Agreement, the Professional Compact Miter Saw Stand includes mounting hardware, saw brackets, material supports, material stops, and an operator's manual. ~ persian_mafia

This is a new model of miter saw stand by rigid and normally be priced at $130 or above. It is a new model with 30 reviews averaged at 4.5 stars so far. Given its well accepted big brother AC9946 ($199, was on sale last BF for $99), this one likely will stand up to its brand reputation.

Too late, I bought it.
Convenience. I find a spot in my garage and when I'm done using the saw, I unplug it, wheel it to the storage spot and be done with it.
I am waiting for the standard Ridgid rolling miter saw stand to go on sale. It typically goes on sale a few times per year. Hopefully they continue that trend this year. Maybe Black Friday...

This was on sale for $129 a few days ago and I almost bought it then. Glad I held out. I literally just bought one and was going to post the deal. Looks like someone beat me to it. I wish there was more info reviews on it but if it sucks I guess I can just return it.

Been waiting on this model too, for at least 6 months. Word is it goes on sale around BF, but I can't seem to find one from last year.

Gonna hold off still.

Waiting usually pays off. It was posted on sale 11/27/2019 for last year: https://slickdeals.net/e/13641289-ridgid-universal-mobile-miter-saw-stand-with-mounting-braces-99-free-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1

In for one; the compact one is better for my use case than the rolling one. Almost caved and went with a Wen or Bora; it'll be nice to have more Ridgid in the shop.

It appears that you cannot store the stand with the saw attached to it? Can anyone confirm that?

Stands like this look really inconvenient for moving them around despite the wheels making them look portable. I was going to wait until black friday to see if the rigid gravity stand would go on sale but I broke down and just bought one because moving my saw around with my current setup suuuuuucks. I ended up going with the toughbuilt stand from homedepot:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/TOUGH.../300753811

I like it so far. Super easy to move and storing it upright with the saw attached is THE BOMB. Looks more sturdy than the rigid gravity stand. It also came with brackets to attach miter saws with offset mounting holes (my hitachi saw is like this... wtf were they thinking??).

Why would you want to? Usually you just release and lift the saw off the stand. No reason to store the saw vertically on it.
