I would say the specs are far superior (more storage, more RAM, faster processor) but support and software are much better with the Pixel. https://www.gsmarena.com/compare....9928#diff-
I've had this phone since it launched on TMO last November (was able to get it for free by porting in a line and trading in an eligible device). I had GPS issues initially but a couple of software updates later it became another solid device from OnePlus. Still running just as fast and smooth today as the day I unboxed it and, true to OnePlus form, they keep updating it on a regular basis. I also own the Pixel 2XL and 3a XL, and while those two are currently rocking Android 11, OnePlus has already confirmed a bunch of their devices (all the way down to OP6) will be getting the upgrade. Personally, I prefer their take on Android (i.e. OxygenOS) vs. the stock vanilla Android that the Pixel line-up uses but they're both rock solid, imo. $1K when it came out so $600 for a 12GB/256GB, 90Hz all screen (gorgeous) display with excellent speakers and a 30T warp charger is a pretty damn good deal even though the SD855 is last year's chipset. The unboxing experience is also pretty cool, and the special McLaren case it comes with is beautiful!
Apparently this TMo version does not work with Verizon even it's unlocked/ rooted/ flashed with international roms.

Ah... I see you've never had a problem with a google product.
OK, that's fair enough. I'm really torn between this, the regular OnePlus 7T, and the new Pixel line (4A, 5, and 4A 5G?) I had several Nexus phones that were great, but never had anything from the Pixel line.
This is probably the phone that can get you thru years until 5G gets spread out and under screen front facing camera is a thing. Also SOC price goes back to regular.
We have a 7 pro and I'm very tempted to do this.

I had a pixel xl and am limping along with a p2xl. My wife and I previously would get phones where we would basically buy the premium flagship phone and then use if for 4-5 years (i.e., she just jumped from a Galaxy s7 to a note20 ultra, for example). I had intended to do that with the pixel, but here is the deal: Support for problems farking suck and I have never experienced anything like how much google just nukes their phones from space at the 2 year mark. I forget what android update it was at the 2 year mark, but suddenly my phone could not get more than like 20 minutes off the charger, which was why I bought the used p2xl, which is now nearly useless with it battery. That's insane. My wife's gs7 still could get her through 2+ days and she only really had to upgrade because there was no space on the phone for apps/pictures/etc anymore.
Plus the Pixel seems like it is getting more and more of a "cheaper" phone, but doesn't seem to be going down in price.
Basically, I'm super disappointed in pixel and the pixel line of phones. I'm probably waiting until the p5 comes out, but... I'd tell anyone that would listen that if they've not dipped their foot in this pool, to just stay out of it.
