My wife is a Keurig addict, so I'll use her as an expert witness- ignore all Keurig deals and wait for the Duo Plus to go on sale. It's the perfect Keurig- super fast, compact, handles large mugs, and the thermo carafe keeps coffee hot for hours. The tank can also be moved to the right, left, or back depending on your counter space.
I bought this last month and have been happy with it. It's pretty basic so you don't have a clock and can't set it to make coffee at a specific time; I don't normally use that feature so that's fine with me. The one thing i don't like is that the coffee filter container thingy doesn't pivot out like most coffee makers. You have to set it on the counter to put the the coffee in and it doesn't sit straight. Pretty minor but a little annoying too.

My coffee maker starts with lukewarm water and eventually gets hot. Is this better?

Anyone have this and can comment on its quality? I have a regular coffee pot, but sure do miss my Keurig.

I have it. Works fine. Wish it accommodated taller tumblers.

I can. I bought this one a few months ago when there was a sale. It worked OK for about 3 days and then when I tried making a full or half pot of coffee it didn't brew the correct amount of coffee and also leaked all over the place. I returned it to walmart as soon as I possibly could and never looked back. I bought a really awesome Ninja coffee maker and love it. I don't think my issue was a one off thing either, as I have read many reviews saying similar things, and sometimes WORSE things that have occurred. Thats just my experience though. You should try it out if feel compelled to do so. Have a great day.

Buy an SCAA approved brewer like the Bonavita for the same $ and it will churn out much better coffee. If convenience is what you are after, you are better off finding a high quality instant coffee.

Don't understand the concept of this thing... Isn't the whole point of K-cups is so you don't have to brew a whole pot?...

They're also selling a Hamilton Beach that does basically the same thing for $59.99, FWIW:

Unlike the Keurig, it has a clock and timer.

Whatever happened to thermal carafes? Our last 2 models were Cuisinarts that had them and they're SO much better than glass ones, not requiring heating pads that make coffee go bad fast, plus you don't have to worry about breaking them.

Umm, for when you DO have to brew a whole pot, like in the morning and you don't have time or patience for making multiple single cups?

Umm, brewing a whole pot takes just as much time or even longer than say 4 K-cups...

Hmm, no, plus it's easier. Just turn it on, walk away and do your morning stuff, then come back when it's ready, instead of 4 cups one at a time. Of course the lack of a timer makes this a bit less useful for morning use.
