Seems like the Staples $199 deal is cascading. Amazon matched, and now Walmart as well. Take your pick.

Hope this helps some folks who might have easier time getting their hands on one, as it offers an additional in-store option (since Amazon is online only, if you don't have a Staples nearby, you may have to wait for shipping).

(I don't know how to get it merged with the original post for the Staples deal, or whether it should or shouldn't be. Didn't see the Walmart version when I searched)

Just something to consider, the batteries in these will decay over time and are essentially irreplaceable. While I love how they work, my original AirPods have about an hour battery life now... I certainly won't downvote this, because the price is good and I'm sure they're a good product when they work, but folks should consider that these will likely be useless (or at least a lot less functional) in 3-5 years. Some wireless bluetooth headphones have batteries that are technically feasible to replace, and I'll look to those next.

This may sound dumb, but can these charge with a cord? I know there is a wireless case and a non-wireless case...

AirPods Pro have a wireless case, so you can set the case on any Qi charger to charge it wirelessly.

The case can also be charged by plugging in a Lightning cord.

If paired with an Ios device, yes they update automatically with no user intervention or notification.

I've been waiting to see another deal on these. I've had an AAFES gift card in my wallet for 5 years that I've never used and I decided I'd use it on AirPods if a good deal came along that I could price match. PM'ing this deal to the BX and using the gift card will take these down to $150 tax free, which is a lot more reasonable than $220.

But still I'm hesitating.... That's a good chunk of change for something that I don't even know if they'll fit well in my ears. I mean, I could return them if they fall out a lot, but that just seems like a big waste of my time on something I could end up returning.

For some reason everyone always comes in with this comment. Yes, surprisingly, rechargeable batteries don't last forever. Any device you buy with a rechargeable battery cannot be expected to last more than 3 to 5 years. Yes, these are tiny, and as with all other wireless headphones the batteries are not replaceable.

Easiest solution is to purchase AppleCare for $30 so that you can get a replacement when the battery life starts to degrade. Or stick with your wired headphones.

Honestly i never looked into replacing batteries in small earbuds. That being said, these are one of the most expensive earbuds in the market so i see your concern. I also think they are currently the best overall in terms of everything you get. Not the best in one category but just as a whole package. I use the hell out of my airpod pros, but if you use them alot and enjoy them they will be worth the money.

I wasted many hundreds of dollars on all sorts of wireless earbuds, these are the only ones that I can have in my ear for longer than 30 minutes without pain or any level of discomfort. Have worn for hours without slightest issue. Give em a shot. (This is the only apple product I own)
