If you are worried about facebook login to use quest-2 and if you have an existing oculus account, please see below.

https://www.oculus.com/blog/a-sin...&MID=43993

If you're an existing user and already have an Oculus account, you'll have the option to log in with Facebook and merge your Oculus and Facebook accounts.

If you're an existing user and choose not to merge your accounts, you can continue using your Oculus account for two years. Peace
After January 1, 2023, we will end support for Oculus accounts. If you choose not to merge your accounts at that time, you can continue using your device, but full functionality will require a Facebook account.

Note this is not a "value" Quest, it's a full blown upgrade over the Quest 1, which was $400! Thanks Mark!

Thank god i sold my quest 1 yesterday. The buyer will probably be raging when he finds out about the quest 2.

Get it before the scalpers start making it disappear! Not a deal but definitely worth posting at SD. Thanks OP, picked a 256GB unit.

Update:
You don't have to necessarily order the premium strap right away as chances are, they will still be in stock later on (if the original straps aren't good enough). Also, 64 GB is plenty (going by current game sizes for Quest) but given this unit is more powerful, I'm expecting bigger sized games. Not to mention, if you want offline videos etc, 256 GB will be handy.

Damn paid $400 just a few months ago. This one is $100 cheaper plus 2x faster and higher resolution. Ugh.

Try selling it off for $200-$250 and it will still be worthy upgrade IMO. FB marketplace should be a decent place for the sell.

Hard to decide if I need 256GB. 64GB has been plenty on my Quest but games might be slightly bigger on this. 64GB should be enough to keep like 5 games installed, right?

Yea people will be dumping theirs ASAP. My only solace are those damn resellers that bought them all up during the pandemic and tried to charge way over the sticker. So sad, ordered it in early may, only got delivery just before June. So only about 3.5 months ownership. Got it when I was still employed so unfortunately I'll probably have to hold off on these luxury purchases. I think with the processor upgrade there will be a huge jump in the quality of games and side quest applications and even better hand tracking. I think development for original quest titles will now be severely limited unfortunately requiring everyone to eventually upgrade to play the newest titles.

I've been considering grabbing the combo deal from Costco, so getting the 64gb one for $100 cheaper works.

Glad to see there's a 30 day return policy if I hate it. I did play on an OG Oculus at a local arcade and it was awesome before COVID.
