The defit app literally called defit app in Google play is "supposed" to be used for debugging fitness apps, but if you close Pokémon and run the defit app (you can for free for 60 min, or watch an add for 250 min) then you set the pace from 4km an hour to 10.5. And let it run. The app essentially adds the steps and will be picked up by adventure sync. You can hatch eggs easily and get tons of candies. I had about 172km last week walking... It will cap I think at 50 km a day and I was super persistent with it.

Defit is best for when you're not playing since it just hooks to your Google fit and drives the adventure sync... You wouldn't be able to use while playing but I typically manipulate it when sleeping and while at work. Since you can set pace it's easy to set a time for when you know the egg should hatch, and open claim, and reset. At night I'll typically watch an ad and get the 250, and get about 35 km before it times out, then just open like regular in the morning.
Do you need to own any of those fit bands or it just works?
