Whenever I tighten this randomly like coming out of the bathroom.. I'm paranoid someone thinks I'm doing one of those machine gun farts lol..

On-topic, is there such thing as a flatter ratchet belt buckle? All the ones I have protrude a bit more than I care for.

I've never used one of these ratchet belts but I find the holes on my belts often aren't where I need them to be and some other hole-less ones haven't worked that great so for $9 sure.

I have 3 ratchet buckle belts. Don't expect tremendous quality or real leather. Buckle works really well, but the "leather" is trash after 3 years. Will keep the buckles, but will have to find real leather.

TL : DR worth the price, don't expect miracles.

Buy a leather hole punch from Jo Ann Fabrics or Miachels for like $8! It's a great way to punch holes "in the middle".

Yep, I feel the same way. It was magical when I got my first one, but the "leather" finish seems to last about a year+.
I'm in for 1 but my current one still looks/works great, so I'll keep it in storage until needed. My current one is a different brand, but I assume about the same quality as OPs.

I was turned on to these a few years ago. These are great for every day use, but don't expect the "leather" finish to last long. That said, I highly recommend trying one at $9.

Just another cheap crappy belt. Genuine leather only means anything made out of leather. They are just about always tiny pieces of leather that are glued together, and then sealed with a backing. These type of belts just fall apart after continued use.I have had a few when I did not take the time to know the difference and they all just broke after about 3-4 months. What you need to look for are full grain, which is the best, or top grain. Because these are high quality belts the leather quality will always be noted for them.
Stay away from genuine leather.
