I am using this webcam while WFH. The Omni-directional mics is not good for WFH, it captures every sound from the environment, including dog barking and kids yelling from another room

I'm using my laptop built-in webcam, but with a headset and microphone. If I get a Logitech webcam, would I be able to continue to use the headset microphone for audio, but the Logitech camera for video?

(I have a rare, but important need for non-headset audio about once every two months, where multiple people have to hear and speak at the same time while witnessing documents being executed. My built-in webcam is terrible for that purpose.)

yes, you can use the webcam for video only, and continue to use the headset for sound and mic.

Pretty much all the videocall applications have options/settings where you can select your camera, microphone, and speakers all separately.

I remember when cameras like these sold for $50. Now somehow $100 is considered a Slickdeal.

I hate Adorama with a passion. Like....... I REALLY REALLY hate the people that run that company. I ordered a $500 camera from them a while back and they didn't even send it. After back and forth for 2 months, I had to file a dispute charge with Bank of America. It was a lot of stress for nothing. I ended up buying an upgraded version off of eBay for the same price.

Edit: Forgot to add, they falsely advertise certain softwares on their laptops. I was told tough luck by their rep.

I ordered this same camera from B&H on 8/23 and Logitech drop shipped it to me directly on 9/8.

Thanks! that's actually not bad at all. I've been using my mirrorless camera as a webcam but it's far too clunky to set up and take down, runs really really hot and the batteries are taking a huge hit with all the cycles it's going through. It will be nice to trade it with something much more convenient like this (at the expense of video quality).

Adorama is a NY camera shop. That in an of itself often explains all you need to know. Its not just them who has a bad reputation. Most people who know, are very aware of the shady practices of those shops. There are worse out there, but their reputation is deserved. They used to be infamous for repackaging grey market items and other things of questionable provenance.
