And chances are with it being this big, they are just going to wrap it and ship it without a shipping box. Would rather spend $30 more and get it from Amazon. Not enough of a discount to risk massive shipping damage.

How is 4.3% off a good deal? You're better off waiting for double VIP points, which gets you at least 10% before any cashback.

I would never order anything this expensive from this company. Shipping is horrible and customer service is equally as bad. Pre-ordered some star wars black series and waited for months only to get them destroyed in the mail due to being shipping with no protection. Still waiting for a resolution after a month.

$372 gets you an inferior quality set, with a much higher risk of missing or malformed pieces, made by a counterfeiter who did not acquire the proper licensing.

If that's what you're looking for, you're correct.

But it is not the "same" set at all.

It seems Zavvi is YMMV depending on where you live in the states. For me it is no tax, always delivered within 5 days from the UK. I've ordered five medium to large LEGO sets so far and only one had minor shelf wear that you would expect from any retailer in the States. For me, Target has been the absolute worst. They use boxes three times as large as needed and I'm just stoked if the box isn't crushed. Lego shop at home is marginally better...

I've heard just as many others having nightmares with this company and poor packaging. You kind of just have to go for it if you haven't before, but I wouldn't start with this.

As far as deal quality, the set rarely goes on sale. Just do a search here and look at price trackers. If you are in a no tax state then this is about as good as it gets. That being said, this shouldn't retire this year so I will keep waiting. Thanks OP.

372$ gets it to you in a month, straight from China.
It's not just Lego fanboys who are going to bawk at that. If you were getting a set that you never plan on selling and you don't care about the dip in quality, packaging, etc then sure go with a knock off and you'll be happy.

For me, I like to buy, build, and sell a lot of Lego sets. I probably keep about 25% of them that I buy and sell the rest sometime down the road after building. I just grow tired of them while others I know I want to keep for a long time. The nice thing is I've made a decent profit on all but one or two sets (Yes that's including fees, postage, etc). Try that with a knock off and you'd be lucky to get half of what you paid.

This is 15 cents a brick a certain site sells a much larger set of this I believe it's 13500 bricks and is about 5 feet long for 350 which works out to 2.5 cents a brick which set or not is cheaper then you can buy bricks for anywhere. You build this you won't be able to get 500 from this after fees most likey 350 to 375.

I agree the CPP on this set is far too high. I would need at least a $600 price point before biting.

The reason I almost always make profit is because I sell after retirement and I rarely pay retail price. I can always make a profit, used and complete, after a set retires. You are right if I sold a used SD now, I would lose money.

Show me said model. LEGO brand bricks? There is no official LEGO set that large. The point of my last post is that off brand bricks don't hold value... no matter how many or how cheap.
