THanks keep em coming. Hows the BLACK+DECKER 3.5-Amp 12-in Corded Electric String Trimmer at $30? and the Kobalt 40-Volt Max 24-in Dual Cordless Electric Hedge Trimmer (Battery Included) at $159 (doesnt seem clearance)

A bunch of the links showed "no longer sold at lowes.com".

If Lowe's decides to stop selling a particular item, at some point they show on the website as "No longer sold on Lowe's.com". That's when you have to go to BrickSeek and see what is around you locally. FWIW, BrickSeek is as accurate as the store inventory count. If it shows up on BS and you cannot find it in store, there are a ton of reasons that you might not be able to find it (theft, stocked in wrong spot, might be in top-stock, or maybe it's in someone's cart on the other side of the store).

Anyhow, you're correct that the Kobalt 40-Volt hedge trimmer at $159 isn't much of a deal. They're $112 around me, and there are a couple of locations about 45 mins away where they're $79.50. Looking at national pricing, most stores that have them in stock are at or under $135. Most stores have it under $110...

If you check the brickseek link, you can see the inventory at your local store. Not sure how accurate it is, but my guess is that you would have to go in the store to purchase at the "clearance" price.

Correct. And like I mentioned in my lengthier post, BrickSeek usually ALWAYS matches what the individual stores have for inventory count.

If I sound like a broken record, I apologize. It drives me nuts when people claim BS is inaccurate without truly understanding just how it works.

Chain saw no longer sold.
It is but under a different link. Same upc and product#. Going now for $240 at 10% off. Same as it has been since beginning of summer. Probably need to wait just a bit longer. Some stores might have it lower in warehouse, but not near me. They are all up at full price in store.

Yeah, interesting. My closest store has it for full price ($269), but a couple stores 45 mins away have it for $149. That's a HUGE difference in price.

32605 is my zip FWIW.

That self-propelled lawnmower: Hawthorne, CA, (zip 90250) shows $239.60 and 10 in stock (Brickseek).
But, deals disappear extremely fast in that neck of the woods.

I wonder if they are doing this so that they can go Ego exclusive.

Still waiting on HD to clear those out.

Brickseek and lowes has been accurate for me for inventory and price. It seems regional as to which stores go 30% vs 50% etc. For example most of these I see here are marked down 30% which is OK, but 50% is the sweet spot. So it's wait and see.

can anyone comment on cordless electric chainsaws?
I wonder if the battery runs down fast? Seems like it would draw a heavy load as you cut.

In the past, I've found it difficult to locate items listed when they have less that about 5, even when I place an online order, they usually come back saying they can't find the item
I see brickseek showing some stores as QTY2, but what does limited stock mean, at Lowes ?

I bought into 80V Greenworks system and never looked back. That included a push mower, 18" chainsaw, hedge trimmer, pole saw. I never looked back. These have plenty of power for regular household but likely would not work well for professional use. I have 4 batteries and 2 charges which usually keep the batteries in rotation for entire day of yard work.

The only thing that I would be willing to replace is a push mower for the self-propelled one. If I can catch it for a good price, I certainly will.

Some say Greenworks builds Kobalt 80- and 60-volt systems. The batteries are somewhat compatible between the 2 although they need some additional work on them.
