This or the $1000 for 1660ti and 300 nit 144hz screen? Worth the $185 difference?
Here's a pretty good comparison video of the 1660 Ti vs the 2060. If you are a gamer, you will probably won't see enough performance difference to justify the added cost. If you are a content creator/3D designer, the 2060 can have some performance benefits. https://youtu.be/CnX6RE7uKpo

1660ti will barely push 144 especially with laptop limitations. I had a MSI GS65 even with undervolting and thermal paste reapplication it struggled. 2060 id say is worth it in this case. Plus you get a nicer screen. All things considered I'd say this is worth it.

240hz, good ram, a 2060, and a current i7.... this is a killer deal. You can definitely tell the difference between even 144hz and 240hz.

This is not just the refresh rate only. There are other 240 Hz panels from all other brands but those are not better than the 144 Hz panels in Quality. The brightness on most of these are below 300 nits and color gamut coverage is almost same and in fact slightly lower in some cases. This one is a very premium panel with over 100% sRGB coverage, nearly 80% Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color gamut and 500 nits brightness.
I have used this panel with the previous gen Legion Y740-15 model and it is really good. This supports Dolby Vision HDR nd although due to Edge Backlit, none of these IPS displays are optimized for proper HDR, the software optimization and the high display brightness does help here and you will be pleased to enjoy the HDR enabled contents on this.
These specs are really impressive for the price. I've been looking at the MacBook Pro 16 and every little upgrade is like the price of a budget laptop.
As for the question about paying an extra 300 for a better graphics card and 300 nits, I'd say that quality difference in the screen is well worth the paying price even without the upgrade on the video card.

When is that coming out?
