This is the GX model with the slim gallery design and flush wall mount included. Lowest price I've seen for this model. If you're gonna wall mount, the GX seems like the way to go over the CX model.
Knew I should've waited a bit when buying a couple months ago. Beautiful TV
Have any pictures? I have a 65 C8 and am really wanting to get a 77" but the jump in size is very pricey. I especially love the design of the GX being flush against the wall but it's hard to justify a $1000 premium over the CX just for aesthetics and the actual display not being any better.
I'd love to hear your opinion on the size of the tv and if you had a 65" before. Love to see a few pics too!
It has an ATSC 3.0 tuner, which will allow for 4k OTA channels (and more)...making it more future proof than CX.
It's also a 'Gallery Design' which is thinner and designed to be wall mounted (can be stand mounted also)
Don't let this be the deciding factor though. You'll be able to buy little HDMI tuners for less than the price difference. Decide on how the TV looks in your space

Aesthetics in the space were the deciding factor for me. This TV looks so darn slick when wall mounted.
The included wall mount in this gallery series is something to see for sure. Sits entirely flush to the wall and when needed, allows you to pull the TV off the wall for cable access etc.
A decent wall mount for the CX model needs to be purchases separately and bumps the price up of a comparable CX model anyway. Also less attractive imo and less functional.
For my needs it makes this GX deal all the sweeter.

Ok, but...
1) you have to buy that tuner (time and money)
2) cleaner overall set-up (both hardware and UI) if it's built in (vs plug in)
...would I pay an extra $500 for a TV, just for this feature, no. But if I'm already considering this TV over others (why anyone here is reading this), it is a 'factor'

"Future Proof"
Is a marketing tactic.
I recall circa 2013
Seiki was selling their 50" 4K $1,300 TVs (SE50UY04)
"Future proof your TV for the upcoming 4K format."
Yeah, I bet people are still rocking their 50 inch 4K 30Hz Seiki TVs.

I am guessing that there might be some incentives/discounts to purchase ATSC 3.0 tuners.
I had an offer accepted for $4,299 on Friday night (late) and still is showing it as processing and I can't get any kind of response from greentoe to confirm it's going through. CC also has not been charge to date. Any ideas / guidance? Thanks guys

LG even has a slick diagram to mark out your wall in order to easily install the mount.
