This is a good deal. If you want something that will last and work well for a long time this is a great choice. If you're using it for hiking /camping, don't go with something cheaply built. These are very high quality.

Can you really get 4 hours of runtime on high and 8 hours of runtime on medium intensity with this headlamp using only 3 AAA batteries?
That seems pretty optimistic, but I've never used this headlamp, so I can't contradict their runtime claim.
Anyone here have this headlamp and can confirm?

Thanks.

Maybe 3 hours on high and 6 on medium in real usage. And the way this light as well as all others work... yes the light will still be on be "on" for that amount of time but its brightness will drop with its battery level.

Don't get me wrong, I love this headlamp. Highly recommend especially at this price.

This is a bulletproof headlamp. I've used it in downpours when hiking/camping and around the house constantly. 4 hours on high is a bit sporty (probably closer to 3), but the quality level vs a no name brand for half the price is more than worth it.

Spend the extra $10 and get a headlamp you can rely on.

The spot 325 lumens on high lasts 4hrs, the nitecore lasts 30m at 360 lumens, seems bad. Beam distance is longer and 1oz lighter though.
