Seems like a great deal. Scares me buying a tv that's refurbished with only a 90 day warranty. Ugggh. Anyone have any experience with warranties in refurb or extended warranty?

A good price on a fantastic unit but a refurbished OLED is a tough sell for me. You have no idea if the previous owner took precautions for burn in.

Most extended warranties will not cover burn in. I've had an LG C8 for almost two years, and knock on wood, it's been great. I fall asleep with my tv on almost every night and my nephew plays video games a lot. I check for burn in every once in a while. Have seen no evidence of burn in yet. The only image retention of noticed was when I turned my tv on at like 3am and fell asleep before I changed the channel. When I woke up about 7am Spectrum news (a default channel with spectrum) had left it's banner temporarily on the screen for about 5 minutes, but fully recovered. That being said, I'd still be hesitant. Vizio is making a decent oled and I wouldn't be astounded if it ended up having the 65 inch around $1500 soon enough

I would imagine this would show up pretty quickly, and would justify a return

Can recommend the auto-Magic extended warranty of Chase cardS. I have $996 in my account due to a warranty claim I had to do on my LG B7 55in OLED.

To be clear, this was not a burn in issue but rather a known color problem caused by excessive heat for the 2017 model year.

I only paid 996 for the tv and the panel replacement costs were $1200. So, they just direct deposited the money I paid for the TV as it was cheaper.

So....I now have 900 bucks to put toward a 77 inch the next time they drop to the 3500 range :-)

Any opinions on this vs the 900h, besides the hdmi 2.1 upgrade?

Any suggestions for how to get a longer term warranty on these? The square trade is one year only

For service menu to check hours:
turn tv off via remote then....
press "DISPLAY 5 VOL+ ON" in QUICK ORDER.
Scroll to "Self Diagnosis History", bottom left are 3 #'s, first is total TV hours, center 5 are boot count and right 5 are panel hours .
