If you are looking/concern about weight, this is 2.5 oz. The lightest out there is about .97 oz. Most are around 1.2 to 2.0 oz. So this is on the heavier side.
it uses any fuel avaliable with a Lindel valve. it can use butane, propane, isobutane, etc. different brands have different blends. Common cartridges come in 3 sizes, and come branded by msr, snowpeak, jet boil, coleman.
its the same fuel used by the msr pocket rocket or the jetboil

This is super helpful. To know it's pretty much the same using the Lindel valve is clutch. Thanks!
Here's the deal....this is a cheap way to have a mini stove out in the field. But doNt expect this to be the quality of MSR ....and you should expect it to fail.
if your plan is to do a hik more than 2 nights.... don't go cheap in a crucial way to feed yourself hot food.
now for scouts that destroy anything they look at....buy away as a intro stove....but don't send them in the serious backcountry with it....
FYI- I would buy it but don't expect quality or longevity
