I had bought these bulbs around a year ago, they work as described. Setup is pretty simple using Smart Life App, make sure to keep your wifi band on 2.4Ghz. Easy to integrate with Alexa. So far so good. No complaints.

I had bad experience with similar cheap WiFi bulbs ..they keep dropping wifi and had to be reset frequently. I went with tplink bulbs instead

Decent - they go in and out here and there. Worth trying for $7, but don't expect them to be as good as Philips.

Am I missing something?
Why are you comparing "similar" with a Specific Brand?

I bought an off-brand pair and they worked fine until you lost power or somebody unplug them trying to re-pair them you had to turn the light on and off eight times and count for two seconds on and then off and repeat it was the dumbest thing , so when you're purchasing cheap bulbs make sure they're easy to pair to your network or reset.

Hmmm I have some Ohlux bulbs I bought a month ago 6 pack for $54.99 . I noticed these posted bulbs use the same app Smart Life and they look identical from the pictures . If this is true/correct then I can say they are easy to set up and I have them linked to Alexa.

I have these for a while now. I really like them. Cheep, wayyy cheeper than philips and they function just as nice. They (tecton) also have the wall plug in adapter for cheep too. All work great with the app Smart Life. Super easy to connect and have not had any connection issues wifi dropping out. Can connect to Google. (Idk about alexa - im not in that environment). For the cheep bulbs, these seem to be fine. As a note, I rarely use color. My 2 cents get these if you want color. Get Phillips or fancy name brand model to get white... It's cheeper than color and you will use white wayyy more than any color. If you are throwing a party you can do the color thing but get some cheep disco lights on amazon they are like 10$ and do the colidascope light pattern design and look way more awesome that some blinking lights. Enjoy and Cheers!
