For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

How does it compare to the 75 inch LG 4K UHD LED (UN8570 Series) going on sale as well from Costco for 849?

Just went to Best Buy and they had these in the dim Magnolia Room side by side:

X950H and X900H. The X950 is the clear winner.

I have a basic recent LG 4K HDR I got as a SquareTrade warranty replacement. It does not have local dimming or high brightness. It's just a decent TV and often on sale in the $300-$400 range. The X900 would not be enough of an upgrade for me to buy. I'm sure on paper it's much better, but it does not seem that much better in person. The X-950H came home with me.

Congrats on the x950H. I would expect it to be better then the X900H since it's Sony flagship non oled. However once you dial in the settings on the X900H, the PQ is stunning in its own right. I have a decent 4K HDR Hisense with local dimming in the bedroom and the X900H destroys it by a wide margin. So without knowing the settings Best Buy used in store, and it can look like shit if you don't take the time to dial it in.......for anyone who wants to save a bit, I would still recommend the X900H

Iam proud of you...Very proud...
If you have on extra money, and want to spend it that way-good for you...
But I will adjust my 900H,and,for the most of us,it will be perfect! Trust me!

I'm no videophile, so I usually start by using the settings on RTINGS, and then do little tweaks to my liking.

I watched the trailer for the Mandalorian on YouTube and there was a lot of banding. I watched it again on Disney+ and it looked amazing with no banding at all. We even stood a few feet from the TV and it looked great. I haven't been able to make SDR content to look very good, though.
So do you think the banding happens due to the video source rather than the actual tv being defective with the banding all across the board? If so, I may just get it. Thinking of using it for 4k content only. Thanks for youe feedback.

Too bad the 950H doesn't support HDMI 2.1. The fact that the 900H will support HDMI 2.1 / VRR is a big selling point for me. Great match for the PS5 or Series X. Just hope Sony actually releases the firmware update in a timely manner.
