For everyone who keeps questioning the warranty information:

The boxes in the warehouse have an additional packet of warranty information attached to the boxes. (At least they do here locally.)

So even though the box is printed with a 3-year warranty on it, the additional information explains the extension of the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

(And yes, if you use the Costco Visa credit card, that tacks on an additional 2 years, making it 7 years total.)

Hope this helps clarify things a bit...

Sony's pushing it as part of their "PS5 Ready" series and is actually one of the few TV's capable of gaming 4K at 120 Frames...however this tv will not do it out the box until a firmware update Sony has yet to push. It's assumed they'll do it closer to PS5 launch Source: https://www.techradar.com/news/sony-ps5-ready-tv

I mean you bought this way back in July. So you've enjoyed this TV for about 2 months while others patiently waited. Maybe just go to Costco and see if they will price adjust without all the hassles of returning. Cause you returning will just cause your TV to get sent back to Sony and they will then have to sell it as refurbished and then reship it somewhere else to sell. The carbon footprint of all this is huge.

I chatted with Costco today and they told me my order will have a 5 year Sony warranty, ordered on September 25th . If you used a Costco visa it adds and additional 2 years.
My understanding is with the sale starting tomorrow you get 5 from Sony plus two more from Citi for using their card, so 7 years.

We are going to have to return\rebuy our TVs to get the extra warranty years (someone earlier in the thread called Costco and they said they cannot adjust for the warranty special; only the $400 price difference)

Does anyone know for sure how Costco ships the TV if you order online? Is it from their distribution center directly to your home or they take the inventory from the nearest warehouse to your home?

Two scenarios:

1 – Sony > Costco Distribution Center > Costco Warehouse > Your home

2 - Sony > Costco Distribution Center > Your home

If it's the second case, you might be safer getting the TV that way rather than at the warehouse where more hands touching it (including you and your buddy trying to shove the big 65 inch TV onto the back of the truck/SUV).
Recently bought a Lenovo computer and it shipped right from Lenovo distribution center.

If you can wait a few days, RTINGS finished their UN8570 tests yesterday, so the review should be available late this week or early next week. If you have insider access you can see the preliminary test results now. Unfortunately I don't have access.

Is this out of stock already at Costco? Cant seem to add it to my cart.
Still available. I just ordered one online at 1:35 PM PST. Didn't want to take the chance of not getting it tomorrow.

Got the Costco reminder email earlier today on the new sales book starting tomorrow and for the Sony TV sale, the email said, "May be available online"? Huh? What does that mean? Forget it, not taking the chance of it selling out online.

By ordering today, I'm assured of getting one at the sales price (after price adjustment) and at the minimum a 3 years warranty. If by tomorrow morning, they still have plenty in stock online, I will order a second one and cancel the first one as to get the extra 2 years warranty promo. Although I see from another post that re-order may not be necessary if the warranty does indeed cover purchases from 9/25 onward.

I ordered it for a late October delivery date so that way if I need to cancel, there's plenty of time to cancel before the TV is shipped.

There's also an added benefit to having a later delivery date. In case you must return the unit for whatever reason, the timing of the order could be important since Costco has a 90-day return policy on TV from the date of delivery, not the date of order. Thus a 90-day window from September 30 is December 29, which could be super long lines from all the post-Christmas return people. If you order it for a later delivery date, then the 90-day window can be pushed out to January return when it's less crowded.

We will see I guess. Today the agent said was I would be getting the 5 yr Sony plus 2 yr Costco visa. It already says 5 year Sony on their site before the sale is even official. Unfortunately a lot of conflicting info on this right now. Worst case, I'll be happy with my 3+2 and don't want to go through the hassle/waste of returning to rebuy.

FWIW I can still add it to my cart so I doubt they are sold out this soon.

12AM PT / 3AM ET - Costco headquarters is west coast. I'll try in the morning when I get up since I am east coast. If it is still there, it is there. If not, I have all of the holiday shopping season to find a good deal on a TV.

I went to Costco today, and they were loaded up on the 65", 75", and 85". The 85" had it's own center display. I wonder if all sizes will go on sale. I asked the clerk, but he didn't know.

Are the prices currently missing for anyone else on Costco's site?

Edit: They're back now.

So, I just got off a chat with a rep. I asked about a price adjustment and about the warranty. I kind of already knew I would get the price adjustment when the sale kicked in but my main reasoning to chat was for the warranty. She told me that the TV comes with two year warranty, i would have to get a square trade warranty (thats where the 5 years comes from) and if i use their card I get an additional two more years, for a total of 7 years....

I'm going to chat with another rep tomorrow because my box says 3 years right on it...I'm looking at it as I type this message lol. It got delivered just yesterday and I've been holding onto it in case i need to return/rebuy.
