Fan qualifies for LSA. Battery is not LSA because there's no charger included.
From the description: "Backed by the RIDGID 3-Year Manufacturer's Warranty, the 18-Volt 1.5 Ah Compact Lithium-Ion Battery includes an operator's manual"
I think it qualifies if it's in the same packaging as the tool, once they're outside the packaging then that's when it doesn't qualify
The HD description specifically mentions (twice) that the fan is eligible for LSA but doesn't specifically mention that the battery is eligible. Probably best to check with ridgid to be sure.
Earlier deal with the 4Ah batteries (I think) did have lsa on the battery so the "battery only has lsa if bundled with charger" rule does have expections... Just not sure this is an exception...
I have this fan and really like it. I use it for camping and when hanging out after running or riding. On low, which is very low, it is great in the tent and will last through several nights.
This was a better deal when Direct Tools had the blems for $39. I really like using it when I am working under the Jeep. Even at full speed it will run hours on a 4ah battery.
If you already have batteries for this, they are $39.99 at DTO right now.
This thing used to be $50 for the tool only. $40 is refurbished though isn't it, and then there's tax and shipping would probably put it closer to $50.

You are correct, the total came out to just a little over $50, although I did not go through with the purchase, as I already have one.
