Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my order qualifies?
You can check your order summary using below instructions. For offer eligibility, we will consider the total value of all the orders you place during the offer period i.e. between 22nd-29th September 2020.
When will I receive my coupon?
You will receive an Amazon app notification with your coupon on or before 9th October, 2020. Please note your coupon can only be used towards in-app purchases of qualifying items. The fastest way to get notified is to turn on app notifications to get a push message alerting you when your coupon is available. Under Your Recommendations, tap the switch to turn on Personalized Notifications.
How do I redeem my coupon?
After you receive a notification that your coupon is available, click on the notification to go to the coupon page and claim your coupon. You can then apply that amount toward your in-app purchases of items shipped and sold by Amazon.
What if I need a reminder of the promotion details?
To return to this page any time before the end of the promotion (29th September, 2020), just search "get more" in the Amazon app and tap the link that appears at the top of the page.

Apps allow for more efficient (and broader) collection of your personal information.

Probably makes people more likely to buy stuff on a whim if it's installed on their phone too.

App does not allow people to compare with other websites, reviews etc. we just buy from it. It is a sort of addicting people to simplicity and gaming them to extract more money later.

In addition to the other comments, if you use the Smile version of the Amazon to donate a portion to charity, it forces push notifications on you (and hopefully a purchase, they probably assume).

Thank you for posting this! I saw this message on my app this morning and clicked to read but didn't screen cap and the message has disappeared. I wasn't sure of the dates so I'm glad this info is here.

I just bought a $100 art print before this promo started. But I did have another $100 order on the 22nd so that's a start.

When I opened the app on my phone this morning it was a message upfront embedded on the front of the "page." I never saw this message before when I was making other purchases or browsing. I tried to find again to confirm the dates but it has disappeared from my app.

Last time the offered this last Prime Day there was an issue with purchasing gift cards (not using I believe). Amazon sent me the promo code a couple weeks later and made good for those of us who purchased a gift card BUT I think I'm going to avoid gift card route. Can't find small print.

Do they have restrictions in terms of the items you can buy (i.e. Lego, Apple, etc)?

We spend a little over 2k a month on Amazon. Almost 100% with the app. I now find the website clunky and unnecessarily confusing. A few years ago though, I would have echoed your sentiment exactly. That's how they get ya! I'd venture to say they're are many more like me.
