Best Buy has the Apple Smart Keyboard [bestbuy.com] for $99 as a 'Deal of the Day'. That $60 off the usual price, and an All-time-low.

Compatible with iPad 8, iPad 7, iPad Air 3, and iPad Pro 10.5". Deal expires at 11:59 pm on Thursday.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I've owned an IPad Pro 10.5 inch and a smart keyboard for nearly 2 years and I legitimately did not know you could use the keyboard to prop it up like in the second photo. W o w. Mind Blown.

Thanks for the revelation, OP

It's the Smart Keyboard that's on sale, not the Magic Keyboard. Main difference is a touchpad and light up keys.
Same price at Amazon right now.

I was stupidly about to correct you and tell you that the levitation feature is the magic keyboard, not the Smart Keyboard until I looked at the photo again that you mentioned.
Thank you. I had no idea either after years of ownership. Would have been great to know this sooner!

I'm using it now like that and it's still blowing my mind!

I've predominantly used a separate Bluetooth keyboard anyway and only used the case keyboard when away from home. SO COOL bounce Peace

Cheers Cheers!

Add me to that list of people unaware as well, and I have a 12.9" 1st gen... lol

I do have a separate little stand I use, but thanks for your comment, and thanks to the OP for making you realize the configuration, which in turn informed me. Repped!

How does this work if you already have a case? It doesn't look like it provides a lot of protection.

It doesn't. You could try to pair it with a hard shell case that only covers the back but you'd have to make sure the smart connectors and the magnetic edge of the keyboard are still able to sit flush with the body.

That said, I only use this as my case and I love it but my iPad is typically at home so there's less risk involved.

Ditto. I'm testing it out now and the major drawback is the steeper viewing angle. It's also not as stable as a dedicated thin cover case but I don't have to switch between case or keyboard.

Used to be only for iPad Pro 10.5 and $40 clearance at Walmart, target for a long time. Later new models can use it, price rises.

Yea I missed out on that unfortunately. Haven't seen them under $100 since then.
