I have been watching this for the past couple of months and it went on sale with a 19% discount. No code necessary it seems. Just may want to spray it with a coat of bed liner and use stainless steel hardware according to reviews.

Must spray paint before install. Will rust in short time otherwise. Also packaging is substandard, expect scratches. Stock front panel screws and washers rust, replace with stainless steel ones. The welds (rust prone area) are really amateurish. Expect rust where you connect the two halves together. Harbor Freight is selling something similar. It's nowhere close to a Thule! It is a cheap alternative if you need to put stuff on the roof of your vehicle. Also, expect wind noise at highway speeds. Mine howls at 60 Mph. Quiets down after that.

I have purchased this exact same one. If yours an older model then I can see why you're having all these issues. Mine is the latest revision. Have it installed and haven't experienced rust. Washers provided aren't metal so no rust should be found, sleeve is provided to cover exposed screws which should be installed. There might be slight wind noise but no howling experienced on my end, cruised at 40, 60, 70, and 80. The only thing I don't like is the front logo is now engraved or painted on unlike the old one where it's a decal and can be removed.

Good price but I am passing - good info halfsplat
I will add ... Read the 1 Star reviews for rust pictures...

Rust Reformer First and then a good primer Second and then Painting 'may' keep the rust problem at minimum. If you dont do a quality paint job you'll get rust streaks on your cars paint job.

Replacing the screws with Stainless Steel Screws for sure

Watch the video the middle bar only goes in one way or the screw holes will not align

This looks exactly like the Harbor Freight one I got this week for $72 after the coupon.

Bought this in June for my Mazda3 and it's been a game changer. It was a pain in the ass to get all of the screws in, but I've gotten more than enough use out of it for the price.

How can I allow a sedan to carry stuff on top like this? Especially lumber.
A Yakima or Thule roof rack system or crossbars if you have factory rails. That plus some ratchet straps and you'll be good to go

I would think you could strap 2x4's and stuff like that but no sheets of plywood without safety being an issue.
